This two-story rear addition added 800 square feet to the existing residence. The location of the addition on the property also improved privacy from the neighboring house. It was designed to match the existing house while maintaining a low cost of construction. The sloped topography provided an opportunity to use wood framing at the basement level, which saved money over traditional masonry construction.
